The series ENTRANCES interprets doors and gates as cultural symbols of transitions, privilege and contrasts. Painted with roller, mop and broom, the works highlight the tension between visible privilege and the often invisible labor that sustains it. The color trilogies in blue, green and red evoke Greece, Italy and Spain as abstract interpretations of cultural impressions through ornamentation and texture.
